Common questions

Grant FAQ

What is the Enterprise Development Grant (EDG)?

EDG is an Enterprise Singapore scheme that co-funds projects helping Singapore companies grow and transform. Custom software, AI systems, and data platforms typically qualify under the Innovation & Productivity pillar. SMEs can receive up to 50% of qualifying costs with no upper cap.

What is PSG and how does it differ from EDG?

The Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) funds pre-approved solutions and consultancies. It's capped at S$30k per application but has faster processing. For custom builds (which is most of what we do), EDG is the more appropriate scheme.

What is the EDGE framework?

EDGE is an AI-specific grant lane under EDG, launching 2H 2026. It's designed to support companies building or adopting AI systems. Indicative rates are similar to EDG (up to 50%), with AI-specific qualifying criteria. We'll help you assess fit when it launches.

Who qualifies for EDG/PSG?

Singapore-registered companies with at least 30% local shareholding. For SME rates (up to 50%), you must have fewer than 200 employees or less than S$100M in annual revenue. Larger enterprises may still qualify at lower co-funding rates.

How long does a grant application take?

PSG applications are typically processed in 4–6 weeks. EDG takes 6–10 weeks for first-time applicants, shorter for returning grantees. You cannot start the project before your application is approved — scoping it early is critical.

Does Sygan help with the application?
